Sat. August 9, 2025

In Memoriam: The solemn ceremony is a timeless reminder leading to the catastrophic events nearly eight decades ago, in observing the 80th Remembrance to the bombing on Japan’s Hiroshima: on August 6th & Nagasaki: on August 9th, respectively for the lives lost & the survivors (Hibakusha).

This program represents the resilience of a nation by its people in a most somber reflection and will never close the chapter for these women, children, senior elders, the disabled, or their families, nor add comfort to heal their grieving hearts of decades past. The first-ever, known event in the USA is hosted by the Chicago Nightingales, a professional organization of Registered Nurses (RN’s) and ancillary in various healthcare fields serving with compassion and hope at local Medical Centers & Hospital Providers.

In collaboration: Military veterans, Active/Reserve Duty service members, First Responders (Law Enforcement, Fire-Fighters/EMTs) across Illinois will join with the Chicago MARINES group in their tireless efforts. Kindly note, with interest in this event will be significant, while we wish to commemorate this historic program with everyone, venue capacity at the Trickster Cultural Center, Schaumburg, IL. is limited.
