09/28/23 Thr. – Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle invites all concerned veterans to her Veterans Resource Fair from 0900 – 1200 hrs at Brookfield Zoo, 3300 Golf Rd. BrookField, IL. 60513, through her CCVA department.
10/15/23 Sun. – Burbank Det 072 & Aux will host a BINGO Party at Hines VAMC (extended care unit), arrive at 1300.
10/29/23 Sun. – Burbank Det 072 & Aux host Bingo Party at Manteno VA arrive at 1300.
11/05/23 Sun. – (PENDING) Am.Lgn. Post 991 Veterans Day Ceremony, Det 072 Color Guard requested, Veterans Memorial Park, 111th and Harlem, Worth, assemble at 1015, Ceremony at 1100.

11/11/23 Sat. – Veterans Day.

GRANTs of up to $60,000 maximum per household property address for Not only Past-due mortgage payments, may include Property Taxes & Insurance or any Association Fees related.
NOTE Application Deadline: before Midnight (11:59pm) on Tuesday, Oct. 31, 2023, the State will NO Longer accept any Applications.
To see if you may qualify for ILHAF, you must meet their eligibility criteria of:
Be past due on one or more of mortgage Loan payments, Property taxes, property insurance and/or any HmOA/condo Association fee payments.
Have a household Income at or Below 150 percent of Area Median Income.
Own and Occupy a home in Illinois as a primary residence.
Experienced financial hardship after Jan. 21, 2020, due to the COVID-19 Pandemic (including a hardship that began before Jan. 21, 2020, but continued after that date).
Any application submitted prior to closing will be reviewed to determine eligibility and a submitted Application is NOT a guarantee of approval. For those eligible for the Illinois homeowners can visit and apply online at: www.illinoishousinghelp.org.

Utility Asstistance: with Electric or Gas bills available soon, or visit local community organization for inquires.
For eligibility criteria: Disabled persons, Seniors, low-income households or with children under six yrs.
